FAQ

Q. Do we need a reservation? No!  Walk-in's Welcome! Reservations are recommended for groups of 5 or more or for special occasions like birthday parties, adult groups, corporate functions, girl's night out, scout troops, etc. A $25 non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking (will be credited toward your total the day of your event).

Q. When will my pieces be ready? Your pieces will be glazed, fired and ready within 5-7 days.  If you need your piece before the 5-7 days, no problem!  For $18 extra we can have your piece ready in 2 days.   If you are visiting Corning and need your masterpiece to be shipped, that is no problem.  We charge $8 per address (larger heavier items may cost more).

Q. Do you rush firing? Yes, we can fire items and have them ready in 2 days.  Earth Paint & Fire Studio will add a surcharge of $18 per piece for this service.

Q. Can I eat and drink from the plates, bowls, mugs, and cups that I painted? Yes!  Our glazes are all lead free and nontoxic.

Q. Will my creation be microwave and dishwasher safe? Appliance manu-facturers are split on this question. Our position is that hand washing of items will definitely add to the lifetime of the piece, but they are microwave and dishwasher safe.

Q. Do you do special orders? Yes, if you can't find the item you are looking for, Earth Paint & Fire Studio will be more than happy to try and locate it for you. We will get back to you as soon as possible with the results of our search. Payment is due when the order is placed.

Q. Is this activity ok for small children?  Sure is! Have your little ones express themselves. Use of three colors is plenty. Our youngest customer to  date was two weeks old!

Q. Do I have to have artistic talent to come in and paint? No!  We have tons of idea books, as well as stamps, sponges and other techniques that will help anyone create their own masterpiece.

Q. I don't have time to paint in the studio. Can I take my pottery home to paint? Sure can! Simply ask us about our program "Pottery to Go".  We'll get you all the supplies you need to paint in the comfort of your own home.

Q. Can I bring my own food and drink into the studio as refreshments while I or my group paints?  You bet!   Bring in your own snack, lunch, dinner, coffee, wine, beer, ect. – whichever you prefer.  At Earth Paint & Fire Studio, we want you to relax and feel right at home.  

Q.  Do you offer fundraising for schools and groups?  Yes!  We have tons of options and ideas to help your group raise money.  Earth Paint & Fire Studio is a much more creative choice than wrapping paper and chocolate!
